Profile for Adrian M. Kreeger, DVM
Adrian M. Kreeger, DVM
Veterinarian

Dr. Kreeger holds two Bachelor of Science Degrees from North Carolina State University and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University (NCSU-CVM) in 1988. His veterinary honors include the American Animal Hospital Association Small Animal Medicine Award, the NCSU-CVM Avian Medicine Award, and the NCSU-CVM Equine Medicine and Surgery Award. He was selected from his class and had the honor of delivering the Commencement Address at the 1988 Hooding and Oath Ceremony for the NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine.

Following graduation, Dr. Kreeger practiced in Ramseur, NC and in Walkertown, NC before coming home to the King area in 1994. He has two children. His son, Justin, is a graduate of North Forsyth High School in Winston Salem, NC and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from NC State University. Justin works as the Director of Engineering for Tread, Inc. in Roanoke Virginia. Tread, Inc. designs and builds bulk explosive handling equipment for the mining industry. His daughter, Meredith, was the 2012 Valedictorian at North Forsyth High School in Winston Salem, NC. She is a graduate of NC State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Nutrition, a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Masters of Public Health Degree, and currently works as a 4-H Youth Development Agent with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service at the Guilford County Center.

Dr. Kreeger and his wife, Pamela, share their farm with several cats, deer, and groundhogs and are very interested in sustainable agricultural practices.  Their agricultural interests lie in sustainable plant pollination, its vital importance to our survival, and the important role of insect pollinators…specifically honey bees.  Dr. Kreeger is a North Carolina Certified Beekeeper and is a member, along with Pamela, of the Forsyth County Beekeepers Association and the North Carolina State Beekeepers Association. Their farm is honored to have been designated by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and the North Carolina State Fair as one of North Carolina’s Century Farms because of its continuous agricultural production by the same family for over one hundred years.  Interestingly, there has been a large colony of feral honey bees living in the walls of an abandoned cabin on their farm for at least sixty years…thus the longstanding link of their farm with our precious and vital honey bees.

In his spare time, Dr. Kreeger serves as an instructor and as a member of the Representative Leadership Team for the Veterinary Information Network. This is a worldwide online community of almost 100,000 veterinarians who work together sharing knowledge to optimize the level of care provided to their patients.

Dr. Kreeger has served locally as a member of the Park Facilities Strategic Planning Committee for the Village of Tobaccoville, NC, on the Board of Directors of the King Chamber of Commerce (2009-2011), on the Board of Directors as the Board President of the Old Richmond Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Inc. (2004-2007), on the Board of Trustees of the Forsyth County Firefighters' Relief Fund (2021- ), and as a volunteer firefighter with the Old Richmond Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Inc. since 1990 (where he was honored as Rookie of the Year in 1992 and 1994 and as Firefighter of the Year in 1995 and 2011). He previously served as the Chairman of the Truck Procurement Committee and as the Chairman of the Department of Insurance Liaison Committee. He previously held the ranks of Administrative Captain and Assistant Chief of the Old Richmond Fire Department and currently serves as the Old Richmond Fire Department Deputy Chief.

He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, and the Honey Bee Veterinary Consortium.
